DYNAMIC FINS UNVEILED AT DEMA '06

Orlando, FL—This DEMA show marks the historic introduction of a totally new class of fins, Dynamic Scuba Fins (or "flip fins"). The first of its kind, The Amphibian™ allows divers to safely and comfortably walk on and off a boat, or in and out of water, while wearing their scuba fins.

The 2-piece fin is brought together by the Aqua-Hinge™ mechanism, which comprises a molded locking structure, blade hinge assembly and military grade anti-corrosive springs.

Omega Aquatics, Inc. President and founder Ronen Moyal, envisioned the need for a hinged fin years ago. "I always felt that the one thing standing in the way of a perfect dive was my fins," said Moyal. "Walking on fins can be extremely dangerous and carrying fins in water, as most divers will tell you, can cause all kinds of problems like dropping equipment, drifting and wasted time and energy."

These fins are designed to be strapped on prior to entering the water and removed after exiting. The Amphibian™ blades are kept in the up or walking position until swimming in the water. The heavy-duty springs push the soft blade webbing against the shin to allow divers to easily maneuver in and out of water. Further, the bottom of the foot pocket offers a soft tread design for exceptional slip resistance for walking on slick surfaces, and a unique curvature for natural walking mechanics. The Amphibian™ blade is flipped down into swimming position by kicking naturally in the water, and flipped back up by pushing back on the release lever before getting out. This can be done by hand or with the diver's opposite heel.

Moyal reports that his fins are also designed for high performance in the water. With several patents filed, The Amphibian™ is much more than just a fin that flips. It will rival the performance of the industry's top brands. "The lightweight fin blade features a soft, central web configuration modeled after a duck web," says Moyal. "This design element contributes to increased propulsion and reduces the load required for sustained kicking."

Moyal is proud of the fact that his fins use the finest materials available and provide ergonomic comfort throughout the dive. He also takes great pride in that his fins are made in the USA. "It would have been easy to export the manufacturing to keep our costs down, but it was more important to assure the highest quality materials and production process. We are putting out a premium product, which means high expectations from our customers."

Omega Aquatics believes Dynamic Scuba Fins are a natural evolution in the industry. According to Omega Vice President of Marketing, Steven Peck, "the dive industry has addressed the various problems associated with fins through solutions such as more efficient strap and buckle systems, making it easier to remove fins. We changed that paradigm and have eliminated the problems entirely."

The Amphibian™ will be available in four 2-tone colors and four sizes. World wide distribution of The Amphibian™ is set for spring 2007.

Future plans include the release of interchangeable blades and a full boot design to offer divers a variety of choices when purchasing dynamic fins.

Omega Aquatics, Inc. is based in Illinois, just outside the city of Chicago.
