Storyline: The Evolution has been built to guarantee every diver a perfect fit. Its unique Smart Harness is highly adjustable for torso length and waist size. This allows it to go from a size small to extra-extra large in a matter of moments.

Key Features: The Smart Harness is adjustable for waist sizes from 29 to 52 inches and heights from 5 feet 2 inches to 6 feet 7 inches. Built from 1000 denier fabric, the Evolution is tough, and the back-mount air cell provides 48-lbs. of lift.

Weight-integrated pockets hold a combined 30 lbs. of ballast and additional trim weight pockets hold another 10 lbs. Analysis: The Evolution morphed its shape to accommodate all of our divers and the contoured shoulders, which have a unique split-strap adjustment helped fine-tune the fit. The large, rear air cell was kept in check by a "reducer system" that helps eliminate drag.

The only element that gave our team pause was that the integrated weight pockets ride pretty far forward on the waist, especially on smaller divers [but may be adjusted back or removed altogether]. This is a great all-around BC and ideal for divers who transition from bulky dry suits to skimpy skins. MSRP $529
